NASS HITS UP A NEW HOME FOR 2006!

Birmingham NEC - 29th-30th July

To celebrate it’s 10th Anniversary NASS has upped sticks and dropped into the heart of the country at the Birmingham NEC on the 29th-30th July. This year’s event is bigger than ever with the two largest names in action sports heading to the show. Skate megastar, Tony Hawk and his BMX counterpart Mat Hoffman will fly into the UK to perform over the two day event. If Mat’s past appearances are anything to go by, (previously he has flown into NASS on his Para glider straight onto the ramp!) be sure that he will be making one hell of an entrance this time. This is the only opportunity to see these two core sport heavy weights together this year in the UK, so don’t miss out!

Over 50,000 people are expected to descend on the NEC for the event to witness the Kings of Vert. They will be hitting up the huge ramp, built to the dimensions of the Huck Jam Ramp and no doubt we’ll be seeing Tony’s famous 900! Alongside these two you can witness awesome demos from some of the best skate, BMX and inline (vert) competitors in the world. Names from the skate camp include Pete King, Mattias Nylen, Jake Brown, Dave Allen, Jocke Olson, Lee Blackwell and Andy Scott. Representing BMX we have Simon Tabron, Baz Keep, Zach Shaw and John Parker, with more big names confirming every day.

This NASS will also host the World Freestyle Moto-X Champs (WFMX) which will no doubt be the loudest show at this year’s event, with a special guest appearance from Kris Brock, Jamie Squibb, Chris Brock to name a few. The FMX riding at last years NASS stunned crowds and this year’s show will surely be the best FMX event the UK has ever seen. The UK’s world No.2 Gary Taylor is out to show the visiting yanks who’s turf they are riding on!
There’s no doubt the Urban Connection public courses will be rammed as always with some of the UK’s hottest new talent. So don’t forget to bring your board or bike to show everyone what you’ve got and be in with the chance of winning the Best Newcomer title.

For those that like things dirty the King of Dirt makes an appearance at the show, which is the gnarliest mountain bike jump comp around.
The Dirty Dozen also gives you the chance to check out the mud fest in the form of the BMX dirt jump comp.

Braun make a return to NASS, heading straight from the BMX Masters event. They will host Spine Ramp and Flat Land comps with ludicrously large amounts of money to be won.

As always, there is more to NASS than just the best action sports in the UK. Across the 4 huge expo halls at the NEC there will be live music, DJ mixing competitions, reverse cage bungee jumping, bars, food. Splash your cash at one of the hundreds of retailers at the event and be sure to pick up a bargain.
Eastpak Throwdown will also take place at NASS, which will see their hugely popular London night transported to the NEC. Featuring a unique blend of graffiti, top DJ’s and MC’s and live appearances from some of the hottest UK Hip Hop and B-Boy talent around.

To top off the show this year the first 1,000 adults to buy tickets will gain exclusive entry to the, not to be missed, NASS VIP 10th Birthday Party! So get there early and rub shoulders with the pros.
